About the DSLR, my advice is get a good one, LOL, will last you a good few years. Canon - Nikon.
And about the Lenses, very important, I would'nt cut cost on the 'glass' so to speak. Definitely not worth getting inferior Lenses.
I love Tamron, offer similar perfomance to the 'big names' but at a lower price.
Crystal clear images and great in low light conditions.
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8
Tamron AF 28-300mm f3.5-6.3 XR Di VC Lens
Maybe you'd think about buying just the body and seperate lenses as the kit lenses are'nt usually upto much.
Read some reviews, do your research, see what you think.
